Brian ReedBrian Reed is an associate professor of English and an adjunct associate professor of Slavic at the University of Washington. A specialist in 20th century poetry and poetics, he is currently at work on a book about the intersections between post-World War II American verse and visual art. He is the author of the monograph Hart Crane: After His Lights (2006) and the co-editor of a volume of essays titled Situating El Lissitzky: Vitebsk, Berlin, Moscow (2003). He has also published articles on such American writers as John Ashbery, Susan Howe, Ezra Pound, Carl Sandburg, and Gertrude Stein.
