Erik Kappelman was born and raised in Missoula, Montana, and attends the University of Montana​,​ seeking a master’s degree in economics. Throughout his young life and adulthood he has enjoyed reading and writing creative works, specifically poetry. Although very busy with studying economics and being a father of two girls he still finds time to write.
